Dave Gould’s North Carolina
friends tease him about growing up in northern New Jersey; but it wasn't
that bad. From the age of eight, Dave stayed busy taking pictures and
painting with oil colors. “My camera of choice was a 1951 German-made
Kodak Retina that my father gave me. I was the only young person that
would repeatedly enroll in the local evening school photography
classes”. At the early age of 10, he was taking pictures and
learning darkroom techniques with adults 3 times his age.
